CO2 Laser

The DEKA CO2 Laser Treatment is a resurfacing procedure designed to address various skin concerns, including acne scars, pigmentation, and loose skin. Unlike traditional laser treatments, the DEKA CO2 laser delivers high-energy pulses with precision, targeting the deeper layers of the skin while protecting the surface. This approach stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, essential proteins that help restore the skin's structure and elasticity.

By promoting the body's natural healing response, the DEKA CO2 Laser Treatment can smooth out uneven textures, improve pigmentation, and tighten the skin for a refreshed and youthful appearance.

Compared to other laser treatments like CoolPeel, the DEKA CO2 Laser stands out for its ability to treat deeper skin layers. While CoolPeel focuses on the epidermis and offers minimal downtime, the DEKA CO2 Laser penetrates the dermis for more dramatic results, especially for conditions like deep acne scars and significant pigmentation issues. The trade-off is a slightly longer recovery period, typically lasting 5-7 days.

For those seeking a comprehensive approach, combining DEKA CO2 Laser Treatment with other procedures, such as RF microneedling or IPL therapy, can enhance overall results. This combination targets surface-level imperfections and deeper skin concerns, offering a full-spectrum rejuvenation.

What to expect:

  • If you are considering the CO2 Laser Treatment, you must be out of the sun two weeks prior to treatment and for four weeks after treatment.
  • The CO2 Laser requires 7-10 days of downtime. Post-treatment operative instructions will be given to you to ensure proper healing.

Morpheus8

This minimally-invasive treatment combines microneedling and radiofrequency energy to stimulate collagen production and improve skin texture, addressing concerns such as fine lines, wrinkles, and acne scars.

Morpheus8 may be used to treat the face and body for:

  • Skin laxity
  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Uneven skin texture
  • Uneven skin tone
  • Unwanted fat deposits
  • Stretch marks
  • Acne scars
  • Overall rejuvenation

What to expect:

  • May take 1-2 days for microneedle holes to close allowing for resumed use of makeup, sunscreen and other topicals. Sun exposure should be avoided for 48 hours. Results and recovery will vary due to the customizable nature of Morpheus8.

Ultherapy

Ultherapy is a non-invasive cosmetic treatment designed to lift and firm the skin on the face, neck, and decolletage without surgery. It uses micro-focused or high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) to deliver thermal energy beneath the skin's surface, targeting the SMAS (superficial muscular aponeurotic system) layer, which is the same foundational layer addressed in surgical facelifts.

What to expect:

  • An Ultherapy treatment usually takes between 30 and 90 minutes, depending on how many regions of your face you're trying to target and whether you're also targeting your neck in the same session.
  • After Ultherapy treatment, you can expect some immediate tightening effects, mild redness, and swelling, with optimal results developing over the next 2 to 6 months as collagen production increases.

Lumecca (IPL)

Intense pulsed light therapy is an advanced, non-invasive laser that targets skin imperfections deep within the dermis, using controlled light wavelengths that can target blood vessels or pigmentation. The results are natural, even-toned skin that restores patients' youthful, fresh complexion. Though this powerful solution breaks apart unwanted discoloration and packs a powerful punch against unwanted imperfections, it leaves the surrounding skin unharmed.

Lumecca IPL is distinct from conventional IPL because it employs a higher light intensity. With this higher concentration of light, Lumecca can penetrate deeper into the skin's walls, making it more effective at treating sun damage, acne scars, and even redness from rosacea. Many patients enjoy Lumecca because it requires fewer sessions and a shorter recovery period than traditional IPL.

Lumecca is FDA-approved for use all over the body. However, patients most often seek treatment for areas that receive routine sun exposure, including the face, neck, legs, hands, and arms.

What to expect:

  • A Lumecca IPL treatment has a significantly shorter recovery time than conventional lasers. You can expect the targeted area to be slightly darker and irritated immediately afterward, but these symptoms generally subside after about an hour. Slight swelling may occur, but will also resolve after one to three days. After that, you may notice dead skin cells sloughing off between five days to two weeks after your treatment.
  • You must wear sunscreen outdoors at all times during this period, as the fresh, newly rejuvenated skin will be highly sensitive to the sun.
  • Lumecca treatments are typically limited to the fall, winter, and spring months.
